Hardcase or textile bag: where should selection start?
Evaluate the shell around transport conditions, access and the complete equipment set before choosing by appearance.

Describe the carrying journey
Will equipment be hand-carried, stacked in a vehicle or used while remaining in its bag? Rigid cases, textile bags and other carrying constructions serve different needs. Weight, exterior volume, shoulder or backpack carrying and removal frequency all belong in the design decision.
Consider shell and interior together
Comparing equipment dimensions to a case’s exterior is insufficient. Usable interior space, lid and base depths, wheel housings and room for protective inserts require a separate review. In a textile bag, reinforcement, lining and compartments are planned around use. Show protrusions and all accessories at the outset.
State protection requirements explicitly
If you need a documented IP67 hardcase, say so before model selection. Documentation applies to the relevant shell and test conditions; it does not imply the same certification for a textile bag or added foam. Panel or connector modifications require separate consideration of the finished solution. If you have no fixed specification yet, describe the environment so we can define the review points together.
Your quotation checklist
- Actual equipment dimensions, weight and accessory inventory.
- Carrying method, access sequence and environment.
- Required documentation or protection needs to clarify.
You can start by sharing your use requirements and approximate quantity. We can clarify missing measurements during the project discussion.
